The Gooch Charitable Trust is an Ilminster based charity founded in 1998 by local business man, Archie Gooch MBE and his daughter, Heather Virgin .

The charity was primarily set up to preserve and maintain the fabric of St Mary's Parish Church, Ilminster, Somerset for the benefit of the public.  

 

Whilst this remains the charity's primary aim it also seeks to support other local charities or charitable purposes in the Ilminster area.  We invite local organisations, who work to benefit the people of Ilminster and the surrounding area, to apply for a grant by completing our Application Form.  The Trustees of the charity meet three times a year to discuss which charities will be successful in their application.
